My April Favourites

Sorry I have posted in a while but I'm back! In this post I'm going to talk about my favourite must have items for April.

My Favourite Makeup products

The witch naturally clear BB cream is a product I have been using for a while now. It is a really great cream that you can use under foundation as a natural base layer. It is skin coloured (this one is in pale for my colour) and is really good at covering up spots for a natural look. It is about £6.99 and can be bought from your local super market such as sainsburys.
It works really well at covering spots and reducing redness. I never go anywhere without it. 



The benefit 'They're Real!' mascara is a product I have only recently been introduced to. I got a freebie at The Clothes Show Live 2013 and my friend told me it is a brilliant mascara. I agree. It is anti-lumping which is always a good quality for a mascara to have, unless that's what you like. When you put in on it lengthens you eye lashes beautifully and makes them look really elegant. This size is really nice to pop in your pocket and carry everywhere with you! They are about £10 from benefit and the full sizes are £19.50.


Okay so let me just say I know how hard it is to find good makeup wipes! I have really sensitive skin and most makeup wipes burn on my face. These ones are for people with sensitive skin and remove all makeup including mascara and liner. They are so soft on your skin, like a soft, fluffy puppy on your face! They are £1.50 in superdrug.




My Chilling Favourites
I can't go without my doggy slippers. They are my world. They are so soft and so cute. I have had them for 5 years and they are still amazing! I don't now if you can buy these style anywhere. I got mine from an online shop called Aroma Home. I can just slip into them after a long day with a cup of tea and chill. Look at them! They are such cuties woof woof!!




I use this sanctuary spa bubble bath all the time. It foams up really well and smells of oranges. It is absolutely lush. I love relaxing with a few non-scented candles, just swirling the bubbles around  in the bath! I am really into the whole sanctuary spa bath stuff line at the moment, they smell so nice!



My Favourite Accessory
I love collars and collar necklaces, I don't know why but I think they are really stylish. I think I might be a little behind on trends but meh it's what I like. I can wear this with any outfit that involves a circular neck and it looks amazing. It has little silver rose patterns which I love even more!



 My Favourite Book
My mum bought me this book for my birthday and I haven't had time to read it. I have now and it is amazing. It is similar to The City Of Bones and it is captivating. This is the second book in the trilogy of The Mortal Instruments, it has some of the characters from the City of Bones series. I love this book it is really interesting and has different plot twists to keep you entertained and on edge all the way through.

 My Favourite Film
This film is amazing. It is the 2nd Hobbit film called The Desolation of Smaug and has Martin Freeman as Bilbo and Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug the Dragon. It is a really good film and is on DVD for about £10.99. I love this film and you guys should definitely watch them. I was going to say Frozen was my favourite but since that was out in March I thought I'd do one out this month.

Review: Divergent Series

Divergent series

Recently I have been reading the Divergent series, recommended to me by a friend. I instantly fell in love with these books from the first page. These are a trilogy of books about a city organised by a faction system.

I absolutely love these books because they are full of action, romance and cliff hangers. Now I know that a lot of books are alright throughout the middle and have a rubbish ending but these are not like that. They hold your interest on every page right up to the last one. The endings are carefully planned to lead each book onto the other and to come to a thrilling conclusion.

Divergent and Insurgent are amazing throughout. I could find no fault! However I must say that the third one is a little slow through the middle section but the ending is superb.

I am not going to give you the full story but it is about a girl called Tris who is divergent. It follows her experience as being a divergent and ends with a dramatic conclusion. Obviously I am not going to tell you what happens because that would ruin the story for you! However I am going to tell you to go and by these books now! Just go online and buy it, download it, order it I don't mind but you have to read this book.

I think it might be out on film in the cinemas as well. That is a must see too. Shailene Woodley and Theo James, I have heard, are amazing in this film. (There have been so many fan accounts made over the past few months for Theo James!!! People really love him!)

So yeah! Buy the books. You have to read them.

Review: Models Own Nail Polish

Models Own Nail Polish

Today I am going to be reviewing the Models Own Nail Polish range. I currently own 5 polishes: 3 blues, 1 orange and 1 green.

The orange and light blue are the same type. They are thick polishes that form the main coat of the nail polish. They make a lovely smooth coating on the nail however I have noticed that you need to apply more than one layer of the polish to have the best coating as when the polish dries it doesn't always have the best finish.

The green is a less thick version of the blue and orange ones. It is runnier and therefore the time it takes to dry is longer so you have to be more careful when applying this one.

The two blue sparkly ones are to finish off the nail pattern with some sparkle and glamour. These make your nails look visually finished. However they have to be applied over the top of another layer of nail polish. This is because the nail polish layer underneath helps the sparkles stick to the nail.

These nail polishes cost about £5 or £6 which is a fairly cheap price for such high quality nail polishes. The nail polish itself can last any where between 2 and 14 days which varies depending upon the activities being done. The bottles are small enough to fit in your hand. Furthermore, the lids are a practical shape to help apply nail polish successfully.

There are a wide variety of colours on sale which means that you are more likely to find the colour that you want. There are also a wide variety of finishing polishes available. My personal favourites are the sparkly ones because I like sparkles!

Overall I think if you are looking for a reasonably priced, long-lasting nail polish capable of being beautifully finished then this brand of polishes are an excellent choice. They are larger that average bottles which means you get more for the same price as a normal polish.

Review: Simple Facial Toner

Simple Facial Toner

 Recently my friend reccomended the Simple Facial Toner to me as I was experiencing a lot of redness on my face and I had a massive spot out break. It was horrible I'm not going to lie.

I bought the Simple Face Toner. Ont the front it says it contains 2 vitamins, 3 skin loving ingredients and No artificial perfume or colour. This suggests that it is good for sensitive skin. People usually use it with cotton buds of toilet paper. I would suggest using cotton buds as they don't crumble in your fingers when they are rubbed on your face.


Simple Facial Toner

One of the first things I noticed about this Facial Toner was that you only have to use a small amount at any one time and therefore the bottle of Facial Toner will last a very long time which will save you money in the long run. This makes it more cost effective. The bottle usually costs between £3- £4 which is cheap for the length of time it will last for.

The bottle itself is a great size as it is easy to hold in your hand. The only down side to this bottle is the small circle from which the liquid is poured out. There is nothing restricting the flow of the liquid. This means, if the bottle is tipped upside down then the Toner just pours straight out. This is bad if you forget to put the lid on or dont put it on properly as the bottle will empty.

When applied, the Toner is cool and soothing on your skin. It feels as though there is water on your face, which I suppose in a way there is. Barely anything happens when you first start using this product so if you are looking for something to instantly smooth and de-redden your face then I would not reccomend this. However after a week of using this I did start to see noticable changes to the appearance of my face without make up. Gradually my pores where dissappearing as where my spots and the redness of my face. It has worked wonders for my complexion as a nourituring and revitalising addition to my everyday make up routine.

I would definately suggest the Simple Facial Toner for everyday use and if you are prepared to wait for results. I think this product is essential for anyone who suffers from spot outbreaks and redness as it really helps to make them disappear. It is cost effective and it really does work. For sensitive skin this is probably the best version of Facial Toner you can buy because it doesn't sting at all and it has no artificial smell added to it. What you see is what you get with this product.

Yankee Candles

Midnight Jasmine Yankee Candle

For a long time I have had some sort of fascination with Yankee Candles and so today I decided to go and buy some. I bought two this time round and have already fallen in love with them.

The first one I picked out was a white one called Midnight Jasmine. It has a picture of cute purple flowers which I guess are Jasmine flowers and the description says "with pure, natural, plant extracts" which I thought sounded cute! It has a lovely, sweet, Jasminey scent which makes sense I suppose considering it is a Midnight Jasmine Yankee Candle. When lit, the smell is quite subtle but it adds a nice aroma to the room. I would reccomend this to people looking for a cute candle to make your room smell nicer as it isn't too sweet/ sour. It is a candle that suits everday use and I love it!

Turquoise Sky Yankee Candle - Lit

The second one I picked out was a Turquoisey coloured one called Turquoise Sky. It has a picture of a peaceful seaside background and the description says "with pure, natural extracts" which sounded cool to me (It's strange what I find cool). It has strong combinations of smells which remind me of the seaside. This is great because I love the seaside so it's like my own pinch of that. I would definately reccomend this to anyone who loves the seaside and who likes to have long relaxing baths as it has a very relaxing aroma.

I think that Yankee Candles are a must for everyone to try out sometime because they are a cute candle design and are so wonderfully relaxing! They are also a cute addition to cool bedrooms and they add some liveliness to rooms. I am definately going to buy more Yankee Candles because I have become addicted to them and they are just really cute!

Bows and Daisies

So here is my 1st proper post.

I am going to be talking, firstly, about hair bows.  Hair bows are a popular form of hair clip that is worn by people to add a cute accessory to make their outfit a bit more stylish and original. There are two types of the hair bow clip style: one that you clip onto your hair manually and one that grips onto you hair when you stop squeezing a metal attachment.

I like hair bow clips as they are a cool retro accessory that can be worn with practically any outfit (If they a worn right)! I know that these have been very popular on social networking sites such as tumblr as they are very photogenic accessories. Personally I prefer to wear plain style hair bow clips because they are more versitile. However I have seen many awesome hair bows that have creative designs such as comic strips that I think would go well with simple casual outfits like jeans and one-coloured tshirts as they would make the outfit a bit more outgoing. 

Their pricing usually ranges between £5 - £13 in the uk. Else where i am not so sure but you can buy them in popular retail stores like Claires Accessories and many little stores online.

Daisies


Blue Daisy Crop Top

Recently, to my delight, clothing items with daisy patterns have cropped up more. I have gone along with this fashion statement and have already bought two tshirts and a lot of accessories with this style. I love daisy patterns, no one can wear to many daisies!

I have bought a blue croptop with a laced daisy pattern rimming the bottum of the tshirt. I love this top because it is cute, casual, cool and can be worn with any trousers. Personally I adore wearing this with my green highwaisted skinny jeans, my gold chain necklass and my Primark version Vans (as seen in the picture to the left). I think this would look the cutest with bright trousers/ shorts because it is a summery item of clothing and bright colours make outfits look more summery. Obviously I bought this tshirt to wear in the summer for these reasons!

Why did I chose to start a blog?

Hello Internet!

I decided to start this blog to write about different types of fashion and beauty products! Over the past few years I have started to be more interested in what I wear and how I do my make up. On this blog I'd like to review some products and talk to you about them! (That is if anyone actually reads this...)

I don't want this blog to be entirely about fashion and make up and general girly things, therefore I decided I would talk about house hold products that look cool and retro and also I will talk about male fashion. <- this should be fun. I bet a lot of males won't read this but I'll give you an idea of what sort of items of clothes that girls like to see boys wearing!

I hope that some of you take the time to read this blog and actually take in what I say because if not then I will be casually talking to myself! I'll get started right way :D
